Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Certified Architect Instructor, Salesforce MVP

31X Salesforce Certified, 3X Copado Certified

Global Enablement & Learning Leader at Copado, Inc.

About me

I’m a Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA #231, 2017), and a CTA Instructor for the Trailhead program, with over 17 years of experience in the Salesforce ecosystem. My background is in software development, Java coding and .NET programming.

I’m passionate about architecting scalable solutions in Salesforce. I still love to code, to learn new things on the platform, and to develop complex solutions.

I love to teach and find it rewarding to share what I’ve learned along the way.

Here’s some of the things I’m proudest about

  • Certified instructor for the Trailhead Architect Program teaching Pyramid courses, bootcamps, and facilitating architect workshops

  • Co-founder of Cactusforce (a Salesforce Developer Conference)

  • Leader of the Phoenix Salesforce Architect Group, formed in October 2022 ; Co-leader of the Phoenix Developer Group 2018-2022

  • Salesforce MVP Class of 2024

  • 5th Degree Master Instructor, Tang Soo Do - Master Steve Simpson

  • Certified PADI Scuba Instructor - PADI Instructor #92425

And, most importantly, husband and father of twin boys.

Honored to be recognized as a Salesforce MVP!

I am thrilled to share that I have been inducted into the Class of 2024 Salesforce MVPs! This recognition is incredibly meaningful to me, reflecting not only my commitment to the Salesforce community but also the honor of being counted among such experts and leaders.

My passion for teaching has been a lifelong pursuit (Martial Arts, Scuba Diving), and it found a new expression in the Salesforce ecosystem shortly after I received my CTA in 2017. That pivotal moment, when I began teaching as a part-time Trailhead instructor and co-founded Cactusforce with 🌵Marisa Hambleton🌵 (Now MVP Hall of Fame!!), marked the beginning of an extraordinary journey where I could share my joy for teaching within the Salesforce community. Since then, I have enjoyed every bootcamp, class, and the process of creating my instructional videos (SteveTechArc).

The feedback and stories from the community have been overwhelmingly positive, touching my heart deeply. There's an indescribable feeling in those moments at Dreamin', DX, or Dreamforce events when someone shares how my efforts have impacted their Salesforce journey.

Looking ahead, I am eager to continue contributing to the Salesforce community in even more significant ways. I am excited about the future and the opportunities to assist more individuals on their learning journeys, regardless of their experience level.

My gratitude extends to the entire Salesforce team and the community that has been my professional home for nearly two decades.

Becoming Salesforce CTA #231, Teaching, and Giving Back to the Community

It’s been an amazing journey that has led me to where I am in the Salesforce ecosystem. Looking back, I can see how my life’s experiences build upon one another. In 2006 I started working with Salesforce, the same time that I took the leap to build my own consulting company.
